「ドメーヌ・ド・ラ・ヴージュレ」は、ブルゴーニュ最大のワイングループであり、フランスの代表的な酒類資本グループとして有名な 「ジャン・クロード・ボワセ社」が１９９９年に高品質ワインに特化して立ち上げたドメーヌ。

歴史的なメゾンを数多く傘下に入れてフランスを代表する企業として成功を遂げる中、ワインの質の向上にも戦略的に大きな投資を行ってきましたが、この「ドメーヌ・ド・ラ・ヴージュレ」は、巨大資金力を元に本気で品質を追求したといいます。

「最高レベルのワインを造る」という戦略をかかげ、ボワセ社が所有する最も素晴らしい優良な畑を結集して設立したヴージュレは、まさにボワセグループの長年の努力・活動の集大成です！！

６つの偉大なグランクリュ、ミュジニー、ボンヌ・マール、クロ・ヴージョ、シャルム・シャンベルタン、マゾワイエール、コルトン・クロ・デヴュ・ロワ、コルトン・シャルルマーニュ、をはじめ、

フラッグシップは、現オーナーの父であるジャン・クロード・ボワセ氏が創業数年後に購入したジュヴレ・シャンベルタンに購入したレ・ゼヴォセルの畑。

モノポールのクロ・ブラン・ド・ヴージョ（ヴージョ１級）、クロ・デュ・プリウレ（ヴージョ）の他、約30のアペラシオンを持っています。

造り手には、コント・アルマンをトップドメーヌの一員に築き上げた醸造家、パスカル・マルシャン氏を引き抜いて始まりました。

ブルゴーニュの土地、そしてビオディナミを熟知したパスカル・マルシャン氏の指揮の元、栽培に関してはロマネ・コンティ社の栽培責任者、ビオディナミに精通しているニコラ・ジャコブが携わっていた事もあるそう。

果実味とフィネスのバランスのとれた良質のワインは、どの銘柄も様々なコンクールの賞を受賞し続けています！

2006年から醸造ディレクターに就任したピエール・ヴァンサンは、オリヴィエ・ルフレーブやアントナン・ギヨン等でワイン造りを学び、その後ボワゼ・グループのジャフランのワインを手掛けていました。

パスカル・マルシャン氏から引き継いだビオディナミを実践しながら高品質なワインを造り続け、2010年ベスト・レッド・ワインメーカー・オブ・ザ・イヤーを受賞するなど、確実に評価を上げています。

「ビオディナミ」とは農薬や化学肥料に頼らない有機栽培であると同時に、

地球と月や太陽の位置関係から生じる引力差などを利用して、畑仕事をすることで、ブドウの樹そのものの生命力を強めます。

ドメーヌ・ド・ラ・ヴージュレではこのビオディナミを徹底し、生命力のあるブドウを育てています。

畑は馬で耕し、入念な収穫量制限を実施。

ＬＵＮＡＲ　ＣＡＬＥＮＤＥＲ（月齢表、ビオ・カレンダー）に従って剪定から収穫までの一連の農作業や、その後の醸造、瓶詰め等の作業を行います。

ドメーヌ・ドゥ・ラ・ヴジュレのブルゴーニュ・ルージュは、コート・ドゥ・ボーヌ地区およびコート・ドゥ・ニュイ地区にある様々な地方名格の畑をブレンドしたもので、ボーヌの村名格ワインも一部加えられています。しなやかな味わいで持続性があります。

ドメーヌ・ドゥ・ラ・ヴジュレは、ニュイ・サンジョルジュの南のプリモーにあります。1999年に、ブルゴーニュ最大のネゴシアンであるボワセ・グループのジャン‐クロード・ボワセが設立したドメーヌです。

約40ヘクタールのワイン畑と6のグラン・クリュ（ミュジニー、ボンヌ・マール、クロ・ヴージョ、シャルム・シャンベルタン、マゾワイエール、コルトン・クロ・デヴュ・ロワとコルトン・シャルルマーニュ）を含む約30のアペラシオンを持ち、ブルゴーニュ有数のドメーヌのひとつとなっています。

全てのプルミエクリュとグラン・クリュ畑ではバイオダイナミックと入念な収穫量制限を実施し、畑は馬で耕しています。

セラーには、新調された発酵用木樽、素晴らしい仕分け用テーブル、赤ワイン用に昔ながらのプレス機を改良した最新のプレス機など最新の設備が整えられています。

ワインは1999年から2005年まではコント・アルマンのパスカル・マルシャンによって造られていましたが、その後は、ピエール・ヴァンサン（右写真）に引き継がれました。

Like a family reunion, this wine brings together the members of a single lineage, from a terroir of Cistercian origins. Their variety, Pinot Noir, was first mentioned in writings dating back to over 700 years! One third of the grapes are from our vines on the Cote de Beaune, two thirds from the Cote de Nuits, the domain’s “divine ratio”.

Pinot Noir is a blue-blooded vine, a truly aristocratic variety. The finest of all red varieties, it can truly dazzle the taste buds. First described in 1375, it has always remained intimately linked with the history of Burgundy. Its grapes give birth to the true soul of Burgundy, and only here is it at its best. Being delicate and complex grape, it is difficult to export. In the words of Jancis Robinson, “No one has come up with a Pinot Noir that could compare with Burgundy”.

Situation: Pinot Noir in all its ardour and delicacy, its spirit and sensitivity, its authenticity... with parcels at Gilly-les-Citeaux, a stone’s throw from the Clos de Vougeot and our Vougeot wines, combined with a rustic hint of Cote de Beaune. Vougeot was where the Cistercian monks kept their wine. Our Bourgogne Terres de Famille is a combination from several of our parcels, in accordance with strict appellation d’origine controlee rules, to arouse the excellence of Pinot Noir. Montee Rouge, for example, is one of the best Beaune climats.

100% success for La Vougeraie at this prestigious British competition which each year brings together some 13,000 samples from around the world. Of the 10 wines we submitted, seven won gold medals, two took home a silver medal and one was awarded bronze.

On top of this, our Charmes-Chambertin Les Mazoyeres scooped the Trophy the gold medal among the gold medal winners for the Best Burgundy Red Wine and for the World’s Best Pinot Noir. We have previously won this distinction for the Clos Vougeot 2006 and for the Bonnes Mares 2008, allowing them to also win the crown for Best Organic Wine.

In September, this top accolade will be announced at the prize-giving ceremony, perhaps the occasion for the Domaine to pull off a grand slam of awards.

The Domaine de la Vougeraie’s grand cru Charmes-Chambertin Les Mazoyeres 2010 was awarded the IWC Champion Red Wine Trophy, from a field of 50. The wine had already won the Charmes Chambertin Trophy, the Red Burgundy Trophy and the International Pinot Noir Trophy.

The Domaine de la Vougeraie also won the Len Evans Champion Trophy, which is awarded for outstanding performance and consistency over the previous five years of the IWC. This is the first time a French estate has won this prestigious accolade.

The Domaine de la Vougeraie came home with a fitting collection of awards from its fifth appearance at the IWC.
